ROOSEVELT FOREST ULTRAS, THE GATEWAY TO CONNECTICUT ULTRAS
Welcome to the gateway of Connecticut Trail Running and the Forgotten Forest 9-Hour Ultra Trail Race. It is a great race for spring training and for the Centurion 33 hour in June! Do as many miles or hours, as you wish, over single and double track with typical New England trails of roots, rocks and rolling hills.
The course will be an irregular loop of 2.2 miles with an elevation each loop of 131 feet over a few rolling hills. Course markings will consist of yellow signs with black arrows and smaller tree markings so there is no getting loss. Happy trails and safe travels. Tell a friend and make a day of it.
Podium awards are for n(fastest)most miles achieved by race end (5:30 pm), Podium is 1st place overall to 5th place overall and anyone doing over 4 hours will receive a Forgotten Forest Ultra Medallion.
Pacers are allowed after 4 hours. They must sign a waiver and get a wristband at the pavilion before pacing. In this race there is no charge for a Pacer. Pacers and Crew can volunteer during down time for volunteer credits for other races.
Numerous diversified charities receive some support from Forgotten Forest Ultras: Forest Commission, Veterans Museum, and Library, etc.
