ROOSEVELT FOREST ULTRAS, THE GATEWAY TO CONNECTICUT ULTRAS
ROOSEVELT FOREST ULTRAS, THE GATEWAY TO CONNECTICUT ULTRAS
You stand at the edge of an endurance conquest, where only the strong of heart and relentless of spirit dare to push forward. Roosevelt Forest is your proving ground, the trail your battlefield, and time itself your greatest adversary. In the grand tradition of the Centurions, this is no ordinary test of endurance—it is a war against the limits of mind, body, and soul.
This year the Centurion Ultra presents two different race options with two different podiums:
1) Complete as many miles as you can in 33 hours. The top 3 male and female runners will be those who run the most miles within the 33 hours.
2) Complete 100 miles in 33 hours. The top 3 male and female runners will be those who reach 100 miles the fastest within 33 hours.
Regardless of podium placement, all runners who reach 100 will get a buckle!
The Centurion Ultra features a 2.5-mile loop with 193 feet of elevation gain per lap. The course consists of classic New England terrain with roots, rocks, rolling hills, and one out-and-back section. 40 loops = 100 miles.
Bib & SWAG Pickup: Begins at 7:15 AM at the pavilion on Saturday June 28th
Tent set up: Tents, canopies, and personal crew stations can be set up in the “rest and recuperation area between 3-6 pm on Friday June 27th. This is located at the field adjacent to the pavilion and picnic area. There can be absolutely NO OVERNIGHT CAMPING on Friday night per Town Ordinance.
Parking: Please do not enter the forest parking lot before 6:45 AM to allow for final setup. Park efficiently, as space is limited. Larger vehicles should use the side lot (no RVs).
Aid Station: The pavilion is the only aid station. The loop is 2.5 miles, so plan accordingly. Dogs are permitted as spectators, but must be kept on leash.
Restrooms: Porta potties are conveniently located nearby.
GPS Address: 700 Peters Lane, Stratford, CT.
This Ultra is limited to 50 Participants, meaning you are not one of 200 to 400 participants, so this is “your personal race for your personal best”.
